Home Portal
Due to the way home portal works we need to show a start date in the future for lessons to ensure your child’s space is retained in the system.
If you view home portal and it has a future date but you have not yet received confirmation that the lessons will re-start this date is likely to change and is not confirmation of when your child’s lesson will return.
Progress on Home Portal may either not seem to be progressing or fluctuate in progress, this is due to additional outcomes being the priority during this time.
KAL have focused the delivery of the lessons in line with Swim England guidance providing a safe and enjoyable experience to return back to the water, our fundamental aim is on water safety and to re-gain their confidence and previous skills in the pool.
KAL KLUB Swim – lessons not started
In addition to some facilities remaining closed we also have some elements of the KAL KLUB Swim programme which we are currently unable to re-start due to the restrictions and associated industry guidance.
KAL have prioritised Stages 1 – 7 and Training Academy due to this being the core framework for swimming lessons and water safety within the Swim England learn 2 swim frame work.
Ducklings – KAL have reviewed the guidance and we have started to introduce Ducklings into the programme where possible, we will continue to re-start these lessons over the next few weeks.
Alpha – KAL have reviewed this product and aim to re-introduce some of these sessions as soon as possible.
Training Academy Plus / Rookies / Aquafun / Junior Swimfit / Mini Polo / Medals/ Teen Academy Swim Lessons - Unfortunately, these activities are not yet able to be considered due to pool availability and restrictions within the guidance. KAL will continue to review these products and continue to work with key clubs in the area for opportunities in the future. KAL will keep your memberships on freeze at this point for all the above sessions.
KAL are aware that a greater proportion of our lessons are being taught by cover instructors due to the current situation, however, all our teachers are all qualified and experienced and follow the KAL KLUB Scheme to ensure we continue to provide a high quality lesson.
KAL have worked with Swim England over the last few months to re-train and support all our workforce to deliver a high-quality programme. Our aim is to ensure we can provide the lessons weekly for your child.
